On 1. September 2026 digital customs registration, Digitoll, will be mandatory for all transport moving goods into Norway. Everything must be cleared digitally before it reaches the border. Exempted are goods that are to be stored in bonded warehouses.
For our customers, the change to Digitoll means that the goods are fully cleared when it arrives, ready for use. This solution streamlines border crossings, and the customs authorities can assess risks based on the information before or, at the latest, upon arrival at the border.
It will no longer be necessary for all trucks to stop for document and goods checks.
Our procedures have been adjusted and changed so that we handle customs clearance via Digitoll efficiently and securely.
To use Digitoll, all requested information shall be delivered in advance to avoid any delays at the border. Documents, also the export clearance, are needed before the goods are loaded into the equipment, according Finnish Customs instructions.
The possibility of direct customs clearance with delivery disappears, along with it also the possibility to clear within 10 days of arrival. The goods can be declared up to 5 days before arrival. Digital reporting and information requirements will apply to all modes of transport.
Below information is requested in invoices:
- Seller / Buyer / EORI nr
- Incoterms
- Valid HS codes
- Origin of the country
- Package amount, brutto, netto weight per HS code
If the information in the documents and the digital system do not match, the risk is that the vehicle will be stopped at the Norwegian border. In case of groupage loads there are also shipments from other customers. ColliCare reserves the right to charge additional fees for waiting times etc. from a third party.
Our customs team is up to date on all procedures and regulations and is ready to assist with Digitoll.
